Conceived as an ultra-luxury ski chalet, Shirakaba blends the timeless character of European alpine architecture with refined Japanese mountain design principles. Natural materials, clean lines, and carefully considered proportions create a contemporary interpretation of the classic chalet form.
Upon arrival, the genkan offers a dramatic introduction to the home, opening directly toward the main living areas and framing uninterrupted views of the Mount Annupuri ski fields at the rear of the property. During the winter season, these vistas extend to illuminated night skiing, creating a dynamic and atmospheric backdrop to the interior spaces.
The main living level is generously proportioned and arranged as an open-plan environment, subtly divided into distinct zones for lounging, dining, and entertaining.
